The role of the Press Operator is to lay up the face, core, and back veneers and load them into the curved or multi-layer flat plywood press. After the plywood is pressed, the Press Operator manually removes the plywood, inspects and measures it to ensure that the board is within acceptable tolerances, then stacks the boards so that they can be moved to the saw operator.
