The Opportunity

Are you looking to make a true difference in a small-to-medium sized family-owned company? Are you a skilled industrial machine operator with a strong aptitude for computer interfaces? If you enjoy manufacturing and machine operation, we would love to hear from you.

Welcome to Manthei Veneer. We are an energetic, results-oriented, fun-loving, collaborative, humble, and passionate group of people that enjoy making a difference within the hardwood veneer and plywood industry. We have a hardwood face veneer division, a specialty plywood division, and a retail wood products division.

We are currently seeking an Industrial Machine Operator to operate our hardwood face veneer lathe and reeling system. This entails taking logs of various hardwood species and running a high-speed veneer lathe to peel the logs into thin veneer. That veneer is then reeled onto a roller and transported down the production line to be clipped and dried.

In this role, it is crucial that you have a strong knowledge of multiple Windows Operating Systems, specifically Windows 7. You must be able to thoroughly navigate the interface and troubleshoot any issues that arise. While coding is not necessary, you will need to enter specifications, run programs, and monitor settings within proprietary software programs.

Additionally, you will need to have a foundational understanding of the manufacturing process. You must be a safety-conscious individual that can take a "hands-on" approach to understanding and operating the equipment, always focusing on quality of product outcome while maintaining a necessary level of production.

We offer excellent health benefits, 401k with employer match, paid time off, paid holidays, product discounts, and much more.
